When you upload photos to your improdiaVilla website, they are resized to 600 pixels wide so that they fit the website pages. Most digital cameras take photos much larger than this, often more than 1600 pixels wide and without much compression so the file sizes can often be huge. You should resize your photos to 600-800 pixels wide before uploading them. Most photo editing packacges should provide the facility to resize an image but if you use Microsoft Windows XP, you can download a great little utility from the Microsoft website which lets you resize images by simply right clicking on them in Windows Explorer or My Computer/My Documents etc. The utility is part of the Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP and is simply called "Image Resizer". It can be downloaded from the following website address: - Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP If you use Windows Millenium Edition (ME) then you can use the Microsoft Imaging application to resize images.
